Greg Rouse

Greg Rouse has over 25 years of experience in the energy industry and has been involved with the Initiative since 2007. Through his work with the Initiative, Rouse develops Perfect Power System designs, such as the Perfect Power at IIT design and provides strategic planning, project management, and policy research for Initiative campaigns and efforts.

Prior to working for the Initiative, Rouse held a variety of positions in the energy field which include developing packaged cogeneration systems and advanced monitoring and control systems. While at the Gas Technology Institute, he managed the Distributed Energy Applications Center which tested distributed generation products, developed subsystems for distributed generation products, and modeled distributed energy and building energy systems. While at Endurant Energy, Rouse developed financial and energy modeling tools for distributed energy, district energy, and microgrid projects to support sales and financing efforts. While an independent consultant, he conducted paper studies and market analysis on energy plant designs which included ethanol and gasification plants. Rouse was one of the initial employees at Capstone Turbine Corporation, where he held several management roles in product development and engineering. He holds five patents and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of California. Rouse received a Bachelor of Science Applied Mechanics from the University of California, San Diego and an MBA from University of Southern California.
