Audio: Smart Grid Media Teleconference
May 3, 2007
The U.S. electric grid is responsible for nearly 40 percent of the nation’s carbon emissions. Electricity may be our greatest contributor to global warming, but if we transform the inefficient grid into a smart grid, we will have the greatest opportunity to reduce electricity’s carbon footprint. During this teleconference, Galvin Electricity Initiative Executive Director Kurt Yeager shares what the smart grid is, how it will benefit the environment and how, with the help of consumers, transformation is possible right now.
